First prize for Cafe Huck at AWE

My booth at the 2009 Autumn Writers' Exhibition has won the 'Best Display' award. Based on a cafe used in 'Be Right Back' and 'Just so That You Know', the display was one of 80 stalls put together for the annual event, which ran over October. Included in the display was a photo wall of people who stopped by for a chat; this started as a small idea and ended up becoming a mini project in its own right!

There's an article about the AWE in which my display gets a mention at Rez Libris magazine.

NaNoWriMo 2009 begins

At 12am last night, work started on my NaNoWriMo 2009 project, 'My Avatars and I'. Set entirely in Second Life, this novel will update some of my SL thinking from AFK (which, unbelievably, is almost two years old now). At the time of writing (11:30am) I've already passed the 1,700 words mark (Nano novel writers should aim to hit 1,667 words per day), so it's profit from here on in today! See you on the other side.
